A clandestine affair exposes power dynamics capable of overturning everything and everyone. Romy is the CEO of a major company, resolute and authoritative at work, determined to assert her power at every opportunity. The arrival of a young and charismatic intern disrupts both her professional and personal equilibrium, leading her to risk it all.
Halina Reijn (Amsterdam, 1975), who trained in theater studies in Groningen and Maastricht, has previously worked as an actress in films such as Paul Verhoeven’s Black Book (2006), Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie (2008), and Peter Greenaway’s Goltzius and the Pelican Company (2012). Her directorial debut in 2019, Instinct, was the Dutch submission for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars.
