Enzo Monteleone and Mario Canale pay homage to Carlo Mazzacurati ten years after his death, in a documentary that traces his life and career. The director, screenwriter and actor from Padua, a big name in Italian cinema and winner of the Silver Lion for best director with The Bull (1994), is remembered for highly successful films, such as Vesna va veloce (1996), La lingua del santo (2000) and La giusta distanza (2007). Today his story is at the center of the first collaboration between Monteleone, author and director, among others, of the award-winning El Alamein – La linea del fuoco (2002), and Canale, director from 1980 to 2000 for various television programs and series, to whom we owe the homonymous collection at the Luce Archive.
