(2023, Italia, 120')

Salvatore Todaro commands the submarine Cappellini of the Royal Italian Navy. In October 1940, while navigating in the Atlantic at night, he encounters an unlit merchant ship, the Kabalo, of Belgian nationality, which suddenly opens fire on the submarine. A brief and violent battle ensues, in which Todaro prevails over the merchant ship, sinking it with cannon fire. At that moment, he makes a historic decision: to save the twenty-six Belgian survivors and disembark them at the nearest safe harbor, as prescribed by the law of the sea. The operation is very dangerous and could jeopardize the lives of the Commander and the entire crew: the submarine will have to navigate on the surface for three days, making itself visible to enemy forces.
