With the sixth chapter of Dai nostri inviati (lit. From our correspondents) Rai once again recounts the Venice Film Festival through the images and reports of its own journalists. Giuseppe Giannotti, Enrico Salvatori and Nicoletta Berardi revisit the years from 2001 to 2012, from the end of Alberto Barbera’s first term to Moritz de Hadeln’s two editions, Marco Müller’s eight-year tenure and Barbera’s return. A montage of reports, interviews and archival footage retraces twelve editions of the Festival while also showing how Italian public television portrayed cinema, stars and the changing face of the Lido at the dawn of the new millennium.
