(2024, Italy, UK, 109')
An autobiographical and generational film. A nineteen-year-old from Palermo, who moved to London to study economics, decides to return to start a new academic journey in Siena, enrolling in the Faculty of Letters. This return journey is both introspective and exploratory, where memories and new insights merge, creating fertile ground for a new perspective on life and thought. The magnificent architecture of Siena becomes the stage for the protagonist’s expression, where his maturation occurs and where the particular becomes universal.
The debut feature of “the genius” Giovanni Tortorici (as described by Luca Guadagnino, who produced the film with his company Frenesy). Tortorici is both the director and screenwriter.
