Debora is a student searching for a job to help pay off her mortgage when she meets Riccardo Schicchi, who offers her a position as a secretary at his agency. What Debora doesn’t realize is that she will soon become part of a significant chapter in Italy’s recent history: the agency in question is Diva Futura, a management firm that would transform the pornography industry in Italy and around the world through iconic figures such as Moana Pozzi, Cicciolina, Milly D’Abbraccio, and Eva Henger.
After studying directing in Rome and Los Angeles, Giulia Steigerwalt (1982) began her career in cinema as an actress, appearing in Gabriele Muccino’s Come te nessuno mai (1999) and L’ultimo bacio (2001). In 2022, she won the David di Donatello and the Nastro d’Argento for Best Debut Director for her film Settembre, which was adapted from the short film of the same name that she wrote and directed three years before.
