Thirty years after the siege of Sarajevo, this documentary tells a deeply personal yet universal story of displacement and the search for belonging. At age ten, Mirela was among 66 children evacuated from the Bosnian orphanage Dom Bjelave to Italy due to bombings. Now in her forties, she lives in Rimini with her partner and two children. Driven by unresolved trauma, she embarks on a journey to reconcile with the childhood she left behind. In Bosnia, she seeks those who stayed, her mother, and her wounded identity. Through her personal lens, the film recounts the tragedy of an entire people.
