A summer in Budapest. Ábel should study for his finals, but he just realized his feelings for Janka, his best friend. Janka is a good student who is certain to pass her exams, if not for her falling for their history teacher, Jakab, a married man. Jakab is a liberal-minded teacher and struggles to find a place in Hungarian society, whose contradictions will soon become apparent in the lives of the three protagonists.
Hungarian filmmaker Gábor Reisz participated in a residency programme at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015, where he developed Bad Poems (2018), later named best Hungarian film of 2018. Born in Budapest in 1980, Reisz is a director and screenwriter as well as score composer and editor.
