Roland Seiko explores Albania’s dictatorship under Enver Hoxha—forty years of total isolation and repression of freedom and thought. Every TV broadcast was state-controlled, promoting regime propaganda. Using only existing footage and often unseen archival material, the director narrates a reality different from the one imposed. Through sound and rhythm, he reveals cracks within the propaganda machine, offering a new perspective. This is a film about the weight of power and the blindness it can cause, showing how cinema, once a tool of control, can become the most powerful form of silent self-exposure.
