Taras and Olya, newlyweds, spend their honeymoon in their new apartment. At dawn on February 24, 2022, they are awakened by powerful explosions outside the window that herald the start of the Russian occupation. By exploring the relationship dynamics, fears and dramas of the couple, the feature film provides an unprecedented image of the war in Ukraine, far from official representations and focused on the personal experience of the victims, whose daily lives are constantly threatened.
Screenwriter, director, writer of screenwriting blogs, Zhanna Ozirna is a member of the Ukrainian Film Academy and the Directors Guild of Ukraine. With his short films he has obtained various mentions in the Interfilm Berlin Script Lab and the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. Alongside producer Dmytro Sukhanov, member and co-founder of the Association of the Film Industry of Ukraine, in this film Ozirna uses her artistic vision to bring Ukraine back to the center of world attention.
