(2023, Francia, 115')

Fifty-year-old actor Laurent and forty-year-old pianist Hélène reunite fifteen years after the end of their relationship, which Hélène never quite came to terms with. Years passed, each took their own path, and wounds slowly healed—or so it seems: professionally, he finds himself in a rut after being turned down for an upcoming theatre production; she keeps giving piano lessons in a small seaside town. When they meet again at a spa, memories quickly re-emerge.

Stéphane Brizé

French director and screenwriter Stéphane Brizé (b. 1966) is the author of a ‘world of business’ trilogy starring Vincent Lindon (The Measure of a Man of 2015, At War of 2018, and Another World of 2021). A Woman’s Life, which passed at the VFF in 2016, won the FIPRESCI Award.
