In the hills around Skopje, the capital of Northern Macedonia, Dita created a queer community open to all people whom society cannot seem to accept and provide for. A community with its own rules, a blended family where each person has a functional, important role. The community’s life is upturned when Dita’s partner receives a terminal diagnosis. Dita will have to take care of her partner’s children, and things prove difficult.
Born and raised in Northern Macedonia, director and screenwriter Goran Stolevski moved to Australia as a teenager.
