On the tenth anniversary of his birth, the great Armenian filmmaker Sergei Paradjanov is remembered in a docudrama by young director, producer and actress Zara Jian. Despite being opposed throughout his whole life because of his films, which didn’t follow the precepts of socialist realism, Paradjanov managed to gain international recognition for his work, thanks to his unique cinematographic style, of which critically acclaimed works such as The Color of Pomegranates (1969), The Legend of Suram Fortress (1985) e Ashik Kerib (1988) are examples. Zara Jian made her directorial debut with Leona End Mark (2022) and is founder of Boomerang Media.Am, an international and independent production company based in Yerevan, Armenia.
