Two years after killing Murray Franklin on live television and riding the wave of a city in full-blown civil war, Arthur Fleck is confined to the Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane, still consumed by his delusions. There, he meets the love of his life, Harleen Frances Quinzel, who will later become known as Harley Quinn. Together, after their release, they will unleash their criminal plan and their one true desire: to watch the world burn.
Todd Phillips (1970), who won the Golden Lion at Venice for Joker in 2019 and received three Oscar nominations for it, also works as a screenwriter and producer. His commercial successes include the Hangover trilogy, Starsky & Hutch, Due Date, and War Dogs, which was produced alongside his loyal collaborator Bradley Cooper.
