On the night of the 15th of August (a holiday in Italy), in a Neapolitan hospital two nurses place a bet on the fate of Mr. Caputo, who has been admitted in critical condition. Angelo, convinced that the patient won’t survive, accepts the bet from Salvatore, who tries to keep him alive to win the Christmas holidays. Amid underhanded tactics and grotesque situations, a dark comedy unfolds that reflects Italian tradition while exploring moral limits and human absurdity.
