After 48 years, the work Les flocons d’or (1976) by German director and screenwriter Werner Schroeter returns to the screen in 81. edition of the Venice Film Festival in the Classics – restorations section. Also known as Goldflocken, the opera is a sort of musical fairy tale imbued with decadentism, typical of Schroeter’s works which, thanks to its representations, makes the spectator live not only visual, but also intellectual and physical experiences dominated by love and melodrama which project the viewer directly into the film.
