Raphael is almost sixty, lacks an eye, and is imposingly large of frame. People find him almost scary to look at. He lives with his elderly mother in an annex on a large estate that includes the castle he works in. He lives an uneventful life after the death of the castle’s owners, but everything will change the night Garance, who inherited the estate, is back.
