Javier Espada, one of the leading experts on surrealist cinema and the work of Luis Buñuel, directed this documentary to retrace the creation of the controversial 1950 masterpiece Los Olvidados (The Young and the Damned). By exploring the locations where Buñuel filmed and featuring insights from cinema experts and historians, the film reconstructs the journey of a work that was initially reviled, later accepted, and ultimately celebrated by critics, earning Buñuel the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1951.
