In the 1980s, Nino D’Angelo was Italy’s most famous blond bob after Raffaella Carrà. His final concert at Naples’ Maradona Stadium is a farewell to the ’80s, his hairstyle, and that musical era. His son Toni, a director, records everything on his phone while asking probing questions. To find answers, Toni follows Nino across Italy during his tour and event planning, revisiting childhood places.
Toni D’Angelo is a director, screenwriter, and producer. After growing up in Rome, he studied film in Bologna and Rome, graduating with a thesis on Abel Ferrara’s cinema. From 2002 to 2004, he worked as Ferrara’s assistant, co-writing and co-directing the Move with Me music video. His feature debut Una notte (2007) earned him a David di Donatello nomination for Best New Director.
