The ‘fraud of the century’, as has been called by French media, turned into a stylish TV series authored by Xavier Giannoli and Frédéric Planchon – the latter known especially in the world of commercial video. The series is an adaptation of the 2018 book by the same name by journalist Fabrice Arfi about a tax fraud on carbon credits worth two billion euro.
The protagonist of the series is the investigator entrusted by the French government to work on these tax fraud cases against the Belleville criminal association.
