Thooya, an actress from Mumbai, rents a room in her apartment to Swetha, a young corporate employee. Despite their deep social and personal differences, an unexpected and intimate bond forms between them. In the bustling, noisy city of Mumbai, Thooya and Swetha rediscover each other through silent empathy, shared daily gestures, and small rituals, in a delicate and unusual tale of individuality, survival, and unforeseen kinship. Indian director and screenwriter Anuparna Roy made her debut in 2023 with the short film Run to River, set in colonial Bengal and inspired by Jaya Chatterjee’s book.
