A young woman from Europe makes a choice that will upend her life: she elopes with a terrorist. Three years later, she is a pregnant widow and mother of two, and lives in a prison camp in Iraq, waiting for her trial. The film, inspired by the real stories of young women who leave home to marry jihadists, investigates their reasoning.
Born in São Paulo in 1965, Sérgio Tréfaut is a director, producer, and screenwriter. He directed Rage (2018) – Best Film at Prémio Autores – Treblinka (2016) – Best production at Bragacine – and Business Class (2011) – Best Film at Coimbra Caminhos do Cinema Português.
