Demosthenes and his aspiring film director friend, Nikitas, spend the summer at a queer beach near Athens. They are looking for ideas for a film inspired by a dog named Karmen. As they exchange ideas, Demos must come to terms with his past, including a summer spent with his ex, Panos, and his dog, Karmen. The two work on their hero’s journey, question the rules of narration, and analyse the complex dynamics of queer bromance. A film within the film, played on the self-awareness of narration. Director and screenwriter Zacharias Mavroeidis offers innovative perspectives with his award-winning screenplay.
