(2025, Italy, France, 102')
Trieste, September 2007. Fred (Stella Wendick), a bold and exuberant seventeen-year-old from Sweden, arrives in the city for her final year of high school at a technical institute. The only girl in a class of boys, she immediately draws everyone’s attention, especially that of three inseparable friends: Antero, charming and reserved; Pasini, flamboyant and seductive; Mitis, good-natured and sarcastic. Fred’s arrival disrupts the group’s balance and puts their friendship to the test: while each secretly desires her, she longs only to be part of them. Yet to be accepted, she is constantly asked to give up pieces of her own freedom. Loosely inspired by the novel of the same name by Gianni Stuparich.
