The Venice Boat Show is one of the leading international fairs dedicated to boating, an event that each year brings the jewels of the sea into the lagoon and showcases the very best of global shipbuilding. The setting is the Arsenale, the historic heart of the naval power of the Serenissima Republic: a place where Venice’s military strength was forged for centuries and which today becomes an exceptional stage for contemporary nautical innovation.
The Boat Show unfolds across a water basin of approximately 55,000 square meters, with more than 1,100 linear meters of docks and 30,000 square meters of exhibition space spread between outdoor areas and the evocative historic Tese. Here, yachts, superyachts, sailing and motor boats, experimental prototypes, and vessels tied to lagoon tradition coexist in a continuous dialogue between past and future.
Great attention is given to design, new technologies, and environmental sustainability. The Venice Boat Show functions as an open-air laboratory dedicated to electric, hybrid, and hydrogen propulsion systems, solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact, and the promotion of the sea and lagoon as ecosystems to be protected. A significant space is also reserved for traditional Venetian shipbuilding, an authentic hallmark of the amphibious city.
The event is further enriched by a dense program of meetings, presentations, and thematic conferences, the E-Village dedicated to electric boats and the E-Regatta, as well as exhibitions, artistic installations, guided tours, and educational activities for children. The experience is completed by on-water trials, trophies, and sporting regattas, design, craftsmanship, and nautical technology stands, and food and refreshment areas offering Venetian specialties, bars, and merchandising points. An event that brings together excellence, research, and maritime culture, in the name of the Venice of yesterday and tomorrow.
