Founded in 2017 to celebrate and promote the art of glass, The Venice Glass Week is the international festival dedicated to a craft that has shaped Venice’s cultural and economic identity for over a thousand years. Through exhibitions, installations, demonstrations, workshops, and talks, the programme brings together contemporary research and artisanal knowledge, while also addressing current challenges related to production and sustainability.
The tenth edition will take place from 12 to 20 September 2026, confirming its widespread format across Venice, Murano, and Mestre, with a programme involving institutions, furnaces, exhibition spaces, and independent organisations.
The 2025 edition attracted 165,000 visitors, featuring more than 200 events across 130 venues and over 300 participants – figures that reflect the festival’s established scale.
At the core of the programme are the collective exhibitions HUB and HUB Under35, dedicated respectively to established and emerging artists, alongside a system of awards including the Fondazione di Venezia Prize, the award in collaboration with the Corning Museum of Glass, and the Arterìa Prize.
Glass remains the undisputed protagonist in its many forms – an artistic language suspended between tradition and experimentation, and still central to the contemporary scene.
