A journey through Berlin cabaret and Broadway, through electronic jazz and Brazilian music, through New York fusion and the immortal legacy of Miles Davis—this is what the 18th edition of the Venezia Jazz Festival, organized by Veneto Jazz, has to offer. From June 6 to July 31, it brings to the Venetian lagoon and metropolitan area an intense program of concerts, international guests, and young talents of Italian jazz, including Ute Lemper, Bugge Wesseltoft, Jaques Morelenbaum, and Adam Holzman.

“Also for this edition of the Venezia Jazz Festival,” explains artistic director Giuseppe Mormile, “we have created a program capable of embracing distant and powerful musical worlds: the auteur cabaret of Ute Lemper, the visionary electronics of Bugge Wesseltoft, the Brazilian lyricism of Jaques Morelenbaum, and the electric jazz of Adam Holzman, with his tribute to Miles Davis on the centenary of his birth – an artist to whom we are particularly connected. Venice once again confirms itself as a privileged crossroads for diverse musical languages, capable of uniting tradition, research, and vision.”
