Annalee Davis’s studio is located within a working dairy farm that, in the seventeenth century, operated as a sugar plantation. In this context, she develops a hybrid practice that critically reflects on the historical economies of the plantation and its colonial legacy, exploring them through drawings, photography, and site-specific installations and processes, as well as through pedagogical programs that interweave nature, art, and agriculture.
