A secluded life plagued my mental infirmity prevented Reverón to be recognized as a massive force of the symbolist movement in Latin America. His interests, which are only apparently limited and homely, must be attentively searched beyond the barely sketched out outlines of his figures, and the infinitesimal contrast of his colours.
