Educated at the prestigious Royal College of Art in London, Watson also studied at other important European art academies. In his work, he explored many different themes and genres: historical painting, portrait, self-portrait, nudes, eroticism, landscape and still life, all ranging from intimate art exercise to epic, celebratory painting.
