An open-source platform for sharing and a fluid, community-driven network, blaxTARLINES is not only one of the most influential collectives in the African context but it represents as well a sort of “silent revolution” in art education. The project brings together artists, curators, and writers. It originated within KNUST in Kumasi from the Emancipatory Art Teaching Project by Karî’kachä Seid’ou’s, one of the most incisive figures in contemporary discourse. At its core lies a renewal of art pedagogy, as well as of artistic practice itself, unfolding through exhibitions, public programs, and networks that activate a collective and process-based dimension.
