A poet, translator and professor of Clinical Psychology. Born in 1950 in Chernivtsi, Ukraina, in his youth Boris Chersonskij took part in dissident movements and collaborated with emigre press such as “Novoe russkoe slovo” and radio “Svoboda”. In 2006 he published his first poetry book Family Archive followed by Under Construction (2008) and Out of Fence. In 2009 he gathered his poems about Italy in the collection Marble Sheet. He is the winner of numerous literary awards, among which the Joseph Brosky Foundation Prize in 2008. In 2022 Marsilio Editori published a collection of his poems Il mondo in frantumi (The world in fragments).
