1954, Saint Helier, Jersey, UK

Stage name of Lucy Renée Mathilde Schwob, she was an artist, photographer, activist and writer, an exponent of Surrealism. A distinctive feature of her research is the constant visual investigation of her own identity, beyond the masculine or the feminine, telling herself and the infinite possibilities of the body. A fundamental presence in Surrealist Paris, she will never stop photographing and taking pictures of herself even when, together with her partner and muse Suzanne Malherbe (aka Marcel Moore), she leaves the capital to settle down in the Island of Jersey.
