A filmmaker and visual artist, Éric Baudelaire develops his work by using different media, including graphic work, photography, film and video, installation, and performance, often structured around a central film project. His approach, an apparent heir to the documentary tradition, leads to experimental and participatory practices. Moving between reality and fiction, he explores the complex dynamics of visual communication to engage with specific historical, sociological, and political questions, including the actions taken by the Japanese Red Army in Lebanon and the condition of the unrecognized state of Abkhazia in the Caucasus.
