She is known for her meticulous and colourful geometric abstract compositions. She became a pioneer of the geometric abstraction movement and a key figure in modern Latin American art. After exploring sculpture, architectural drawing, theatre set design, and printmaking, she ultimately dedicated herself to painting as she thinks it’s the medium which best allows her to delve most deeply into pure abstraction.
