FLORENCE LAZAR

In addition to the photographic portraits that characterised her work in the ‘90s, Florence Lazar creates installations and videos that combine documentary intent and aesthetic construction. Her work deals with themes related to historical memory – collective and individual – in contexts marked by crises, conflicts, marginalisation and environmental emergencies. In this way, her practice of testimony and documentation becomes political action, while also questioning the responsibilities of those who select content and tools for transmitting information.
