Giulia Andreani’s work, which is in constant development, focuses on both collective and individual memory. Starting from photographs which she collects from historical archives and reproduces in her painting, she narrates events linked to the history of feminism and women’s emancipation, reinterpreting the past through the subjective filter of watercolour painting, with a palette restricted to Payne’s grey.
