Cultural nomadism and the blending of different materials and expressive media characterize Kader Attia’s creative path, through which he explores themes related above all to cultural identity and the impact of colonialism on non-European societies. Through works and installations of powerful visual and emotional intensity, he combines ethics and aesthetics, addressing concepts such as memory, trauma, healing and, above all, repair – understood both as a form of reappropriation and as a practice of resistance – giving voice to minorities and histories of marginalization.
