Through work that skilfully uses different media – photography, video, installations, performances – Kiluanji Kia Henda consciously affirms the power of art to reread and rewrite the past in order to define another possible future. Starting from the traumas of Angola and overcoming barriers and geographical borders, he playfully disseminates the themes of African identity in the colonial and post-colonial era in order to build bridges between different peoples and cultures and promote questions of universal importance with the strength of fantasy narration, expressed in an imaginative form towards a viable idea of global inclusion.
