A rebel talent acknowledged by both peers and teachers, Laura Rodig Pizarro channelled the cubist and expressionist experience she gathered in France and Spain and, under those canons, expresses all the visual potential, both ethnographic and political, of her native Chile. A left-wing activist, educator, and reformer, she also took employment in the public school system and worked to modernize curriculums.
