A pioneer in weaving together performance, music, avant-garde and multimedia productions, Laurie Anderson has become a key point of reference for art at an international level, going beyond the New York scene where she comes from. In the 1980s she climbed the charts – in Italy too, thanks to the RAI programme Mister Fantasy – with O Superman, a minimal, hypnotic, essential song. Since then she has continued to surprise and captivate her audience thanks to her multifaceted talent, featuring a constant streak of irony. To tell her stories – she defines herself as a storyteller – she makes use of deep vibrations of her own voice, grafting and hybridizing electronic music, poetry, video, visual arts and virtual reality.
