Over the course of her long career, Linda Goode Bryant has been a gallery owner – directing the Just Above Midtown space in New York from 1974 to 1986, which helped launch artists such as David Hammons – and also an educator, video artist, entrepreneur and, more recently, a promoter of urban agricultural practices with the Project Eats launched in 2009. Her practice is based on ideals of collaboration and experimentation, in an ongoing attempt to address inequalities and social tensions.
