The artist uses cultural archetypes to triangulate the position of human beings as they are being alienated from the state of nature and enter the Heimat of technology. These cultural props can be derived from archaeology – especially Near Eastern findings – to modern-day amulets: anything can be given the ritualistic power to control the future.
