NAIROBI CONTEMPORARY ART INSTITUTE (NCAI)

Founded by Michael Armitage, the Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute is a non-profit space dedicated to the development, preservation and storytelling of contemporary East African art. Since its inception, it has served an exhibition, archival and discursive function, helping to build a critical memory of the region’s artistic practices and to make them accessible to a wider audience.
