rana elnemr’s photography is an almost documentary reflection on life in the Egyptian capital. Moving between photography and video, her work focuses on the dynamics of visibility and power, challenging the codes of documentary filmmaking. As part of her artistic practice, she founded the Contemporary Image Collective, an independent non-profit institution that promotes visual research and international exchange.
