Ch’ixi is a term in the Andean Aymara language that indicates an indeterminate quality between two polarities, like those fabrics whose mélange warp makes it impossible to claim that they are of a single colour. On the ridge of ch’ixi indeterminacy, River Claure proposes his works of visual art as an opportunity to resolve the contrastive binary logic and move towards coexistence in juxtaposition.
