An irrepressible talent for creation and observation, Rosa Rolanda embraced theatre, choreography, painting. Born into a cosmopolitan family, she travelled the world in the 1920s, performed in dance and cabaret, visited Asia with her husband, and after settling in Mexico City, she kept on pouring her limitless curiosity and enthusiastic interest for the art into paintings, portraits, modern and modernist observations, as well as animating the intellectual life of her country.
