Born in the pre-Y2K underground culture in China – Shuang Li’s cultural space feeds on Nintendo, MySpace and YouTube. She learned geography thanks to a videogame, Uncharted Waters, and English thanks to songs by My Chemical Romance. Her upbringing put at the centre of her expressive universe the language of pop, a universe where Marvel heroes talk to children’s comic books.
