Visual artist, filmmaker and curator Tiona Nekkia McClodden has developed an interdisciplinary practice that spans documentary, experimental video, sculpture and sound installation. Her work explores and critiques the intersections of race, gender and sexuality, with a particular focus in recent years on the concepts of re-memory and biomythography. Her work builds constellations of references and genealogies, restoring substance and complexity to often marginalized histories.
