She is a feminist pioneer in contemporary art. Her works are minimal in color, and have erotic overtones. Her Amazonas, belonging to the series Erotic Topologies, features women warriors highlighting the female forms. Her works continue to be attentive to the female experience, honouring mythical and real women’s lives, including her own. By creating canvases layered with three dimensional protrusions and shapes she manages to blur the lines between sculpture and painting.
